Bladder & Bowel Service – Senior Nursing Assistant

We are looking for a Senior Nursing Assistant to join our Bladder and Bowel Service – we do things a bit differently.

What’s the role?

  • You’ll be part of a team who promote continence and manage incontinence for our patients across Suffolk
  • You’ll be supported by the Senior Nursing Assistant Lead and will assess, re-asses, plan and evaluate bladder, bowel and/or continence care of a delegated caseload within the scope of your professional practice.

The Bladder and Bowel Service is run by Suffolk GP Federation CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company.

We will make sure you are fully inducted and trained. It’s important to us that you feel safe and supported in your role.

  • You’d be suited to this role if you have experience in working within a primary or community care setting
  • You’ll need experience of caring for patients with bladder, bowel and continence issues
  • You’ll need a Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care
  • IT skills are important, you’ll need to be able to use our clinical system (with training)
  • It’s important that you can work well as part of a team, being supportive of each other, as well as independently
  • Due to the nature of the work, you’ll need access to regular transport in order to travel around the county.

Contract type

  • Permanent Contract: Monday – Friday,  37.5 hours per week
