The Market Cross Surgery is seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated Maternity Locum GPs to join our friendly multidisciplinary team. Located in the charming market town of Mildenhall, Suffolk, we offer a supportive and collaborative working environment with excellent access to Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge — perfect for a strong work-life balance.

About the Role

• Up to 8 sessions per week
• 12-month fixed-term maternity cover
• MPS indemnity fees covered

About Our Practice

• Patient list size: Approximately 12,700
• CQC rating: Outstanding
• Clinical system: SystmOne
• Single-site dispensing practice
• GP Registrar training practice
• Experienced nursing, administrative, and reception teams
• Primary Care Network with ARRS roles including paramedics, physiotherapists, social prescribers, health & well-being coaches, care coordinators, and clinical pharmacists — all working collaboratively to provide excellent patient care
• Timetabled daily coffee breaks
• Weekly educational lunchtime meetings with lunch provided

Person Specification

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
• On or eligible for inclusion on the NHS Performers List
• Up-to-date CPR certification and enhanced DBS
• Evidence of recent appraisal and revalidation
• Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
