Practice Nurse – Band 5 or 6 – Unity Healthcare


We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our Nursing team at Unity Healthcare on a part time basis 28.5 hours per week

What is the role?

  • You’ll be a Registered Nurse, who has had experience working within primary care.
  • You’ll be involved in delivering a high standard of patient care using specialist skills working with the wider general practice team.
  • You’ll be responsible for working within your professional boundaries and will work to the NMC code of conduct.

You will be working across Unity Healthcare which has branches in Haverhill, Long Melford and Lavenham and is run by Suffolk GP Federation. Suffolk GP Federation are a not-for-profit, community interest company who support Primary Care across Suffolk, including working collaboratively and at scale. We also deliver a portfolio of NHS services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Podiatry, Ultrasound, Diabetes, as well as Urgent Care Services including the Out of Hours face-to-face Service in Suffolk.

Is it for me?

We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and have access to additional training if required; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.

  • You’ll be a Registered Nurse who has prior experience of working within primary care, particularly in caring for patients with long term conditions.
  • You’d be suited to this role if you have a caring and empathetic nature, and strive to deliver the best level of patient care.
  • You’ll be able to work across any of our three sites (Haverhill, Long Melford and Lavenham)

Contract type:

This is a permanent position on a part time basis.

  • Monday Haverhill 08:00-18:30
  • Tuesday and Thursday rotation between Long Melford and Lavenham 08:00-18:30
