Four COVID-19 vaccination centres to remain closed today

Four of the five COVID-19 vaccination centres run by the Suffolk GP Federation are closed for a second day today.

They are located at Debenham Community Centre; Trinity Park, near Ipswich; The Mix, Stowmarket; and Woodbridge Community Hall. A fifth centre, at The EpiCentre in Haverhill, will reopen tomorrow for part of the day because conditions in the west of Suffolk are better than in the rest of the county.

The Suffolk GP Federation is assessing the situation on a daily basis and will decide later today whether centres can open tomorrow. An update will be posted on this website as soon as a decision is made.

We have a substantial number of appointments to be rebooked and to facilitate this, our booking line is closed so that the team are free to call patients. Patients can continue to book via www.my-healthbook.co.uk

People with appointments booked for today have been contacted. Those with a mobile phone number registered with their GP practice have been sent a text with a link so they can rebook online.

Those without access to the internet have been phoned on their landline number and booked in for a new appointment. We have been unable to contact a small number of people from this group and will do so via their GP practice.

GP practices will be contacting those patients in cases where the Suffolk GP Federation does not have a mobile or landline number.
