Cardiology

Suffolk GP Federation delivers a community cardiology service which provides an alternative to hospital care for patients needing non-invasive cardiological assessment and treatment.

Patients are referred via Ipswich Hospital after visiting their own GP. We are unable to accept walk in appointments as they are all arranged in advance.

Cardiology

Clinics

Clinics run on a Thursday afternoon from Framfield House Medical Centre in Woodbridge and on a Friday afternoon at the Riverside Clinic in Ipswich. There is free parking at both locations.

Each clinic has a cardiology consultant from Ipswich Hospital in attendance along with one or two GPs specialising in cardiology.

Typical conditions that are seen include palpitations, angina, heart murmurs, valve disease, breathlessness, heart failure, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, syncope and blackouts.

For more information download our cardiology leaflet, contact Sgpfed.rbs@nhs.net or call 0345 241 3313 (option 4).
