Emergency Care Practitioners and Paramedics Network
We recently held our first networking event for Emergency Care Practitioners (ECPs) and Paramedics working in primary care.
It was a chance for attendees to meet with like minded professionals and identify any training or further support they felt was needed.
A total of 17 ECPs, paramedics and visiting paramedics attended the event, which was held at Trinity Park in Ipswich.
Paul Driscoll, Suffolk GP Federation’s Chief Medical Officer, led a good discussion which included the challenges ECPs and paramedics face while working in primary care.
Full notes from the event can be found here.
In particular, participants felt consultation skills training would help their work in practices.
The Fed has now booked a full day of training on Wednesday, April 25th with healthcare specialists Red Whale. This is the day Ipswich & East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) holds its education afternoon. There are a maximum of 24 places which will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
Please email Suffolk GP Federation’s Charlie Bland on charlie.bland@suffolkfed.org.uk if you would like to attend.
